Regular G-WEG training as a key component of our weekly schedule
At our Johanniter-Haus am Waldpark in Ladenburg, G-WEG training is a regular feature of the weekly schedule as an exercise program designed to prevent falls.
And it has been a success, because it is very important for our residents to exercise in the “open green space.”
Mobility training is conducted at least once or twice a week by staff trained by G-WEG. The goal is to improve each person’s gait and minimize falls.
What makes it special is the wide variety of structured exercise cards with different difficulty levels, which allow for individual adaptation to each student's ability level.
This is a huge help for our care team; no more wasting time on extensive planning and preparation for the next exercise session!
And the best part: “It makes documentation so much easier, because the training goals are predefined and are automatically recorded as completed activities!”
Our residents continue to enjoy the program very much and are noticing positive changes. They realize that regular G-WEG training helps keep their muscle strength, endurance, concentration, and memory sharp. We can 100% recommend the G-WEG program!
For the quality of life and joy of our residents, and for higher-quality care.
