Münchenstift and G-WEG are implementing a strategic rollout for fall prevention at nine facilities in Munich

In collaboration with Münchenstift GmbH, G-WEG GmbH has successfully implemented a comprehensive prevention project in nine senior living facilities in Munich.

The focus was not merely on introducing a system—but on a comprehensive rollout that would have a lasting impact.

By equipping all facilities with the G-WEG fall prevention system and providing accompanying cluster-based training, the foundation was laid for promoting mobility in a targeted manner and effectively reducing the risk of falls.

Falls are among the most common health risks in older age—often with significant consequences for independence and quality of life. This is exactly where G-WEG comes in: Through a scientifically grounded approach that combines movement training, real-life exercises, and regular training, prevention is actively integrated into daily care routines.

A key factor in the project’s success was the training of key influencers at all locations. These individuals received intensive training as part of the cluster-based continuing education program and now serve as on-site points of contact. Supported by the digital G-WEG learning platform, they pass their knowledge directly on to the teams, thereby ensuring sustainable implementation.

“With the G-WEG cluster training program, we are investing in our employees’ practical skills—and thus directly in the health of our residents,” explains Sebastian Rokita. “The rollout has demonstrated the potential of targeted physical activity promotion—for our residents as well as for our teams.”

From G-WEG’s perspective as well, the collaboration demonstrates how scalable prevention works in practice:
“By combining in-person training, online learning, and system integration, we are creating a structured and sustainable solution for promoting mobility and preventing falls,” emphasizes Ulla Schlösser. “This partnership exemplifies what G-WEG is all about: prevention with a systematic approach, impact, and structure.”

This joint project highlights how successfully prevention and care can be integrated—with a clear goal: greater joy in life, greater security, and greater independence in old age.
